Families and Friends of Concord Carlisle Pop Warner Football:

We are pleased to announce that registration for the upcoming 2012 Pop Warner football program has opened.  Registration is first come, first served and we are asking all returning players to register by no later than April 1^st.  This is a hard deadline that we have to meet in order to properly plan for recruiting new players, coaches and other volunteers.  Please respect this deadline.  It is extremely important.  We will also be holding a Registration and Meet the Coaches meeting on March 22^nd at 7:30 pm in the CCHS cafeteria.  Coach Robichaud, the CCHS varsity football coach, plans to attend and speak with the attendees.  We will use this night to answer questions about the upcoming season and the program in general.  Please plan to attend.  We will have program magnets or other swag to be handed out to all.    

As a program, we had a successful season last year and we hope to build on that success this season.  The success of the high school team appears to have heightened the interest of new players in our program as we have had many inquiries about registration and related topics.  As always, we are hopeful that all those who participated last year will return again for another season and recruit a friend or two who might be interested in playing football.     

Some important dates

• March 22, 2012 – Pop Warner Registration and Meet the Coaches meeting at the CCHS cafeteria at 7:30 pm.
• June 10, 2012 - Mike Robichaud and members of the Concord Carlisle Football team will run a football clinic at the turf fields from 6-8 pm.  This is a clinic which we have done for the previous three years and has been a good experience for the players in our program.  This will be a no pads workout with no hitting, but the players get an opportunity to learn from and interact with the high school players which they all enjoy.  We will follow up with more details as the date approaches. 
• Mid-June 2012 - In mid-June, we expect to hand out helmets on a weekday evening to be determined.  As we have done in past years, all players who have registered will be able to be fitted for and take their helmets home that evening.
• August 11, 2012 - Equipment pickup
• August 12, 2012 - First day of practice.
• September 8, 2012 – First game of the 2012 season
• Fall 2012 - We are hoping to organize a Pop Warner Night at one of the CCHS Varsity home games at which the football players and cheerleaders will be recognized.

We appreciate your attention to football so early in the year.  The season is still 6 months away but the planning starts now.
